Hi Pastor,
Just wondering if one can compare Jesus' temptation to ours... I mean, Jesus could never have sinned, since He didn't have a 'sin nature' but more importantly He was God, and God CANNOT sin.

Therefore, is it possible that He could know what it is like to battle against temptation or even to resist it?

With love,
Tom

Praise God for a spiritual understanding of the Lord's Supper. Jesus said in John 6:63, "The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life."
May I suggest that his disciples did not leave after he spoke of feeding on his body (Verses 53-58) it was after he spoke about the spiritual truth (Verse 63). They didn't have a problem with the physical. They had a problem with the spiritual truth.
I have several of questions.
What spiritual meaning were you trying to expressing (I may be one of those who don't understand)?
Since the words Jesus spoke in John 6:22-71 were spirit in what verse do we see or hear that spiritual truth?
What spiritual food satisfies our spiritual hunger?

Welcome to the blogosphere. I grew up in Bluefield, WV, took art from Mrs. Richardson, and now am a pastor in Morgantown. Good luck on the blog. Check mine out when you get a chance.

Dear and Gentle Reader,

Since I last had the pleasure of visiting ye, I have had many thoughts upon ye and your work in this, our online community. Keep hold the faith and continue to run the race! We will praise God for what he has done through your ministry and I cherish your willing spirit and compassion.

Who knows but it may please God to make ye an instrument in His glorious work? In effecting an union among the labourers in His vineyard? That He may direct and bless you in all your steps is the prayer of my heart.

Your affectionate and obedient servant,
JW

It surely is time.

The hard part is that many lay church leaders attribute the decline of mainline churches to the departure from tradition, instead of the refusal to depart from it.

I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to respond. I just found you comment waiting to be posted. I am also sorry about your grandmother's death. As for your question about about an alternate chance for salvation, I am afraid that the Scriptures make it clear that a person must accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior prior to his or her death. We are not given a second chance at salvation. Your prayers for your grandmother, therefore, will be contrary to God's plan, and, unfortunately, will not be answered.

Hi, I have been following your blog for quite some time... I am a young Christian who seldom go to church because I do not really feel comfortable with all the ultra active younger generation of Christians... my family members are not Christians too and it is quite hard for me to explain to them too since they have been brought knowing only of what they have been taught...
My grandmother passed away on tuesday and I am deeply saddened by her passing... she is not a Christian and have not accepted Jesus as her saviour when she was alive... I was wondering if it is possible for people who do not know Christ to have a alternative chance to be saved? Will my prayers for her salvation be answered?
